 | Anamnesis
(Greek word for remembrance) The remembrance of God's saving deeds in history in the liturgical action of the Church, which inspires thanksgiving and praise. Every Eucharistic Prayer contains an anamnesis or memorial in which the Church calls to mind the Passion, Resurrection, and glorious return of Christ Jesus. The Proclamation of God’s “Word” (both in the Liturgy and in Evangelization) is also a remembrance of God’s saving deeds, which fosters faith in the believer’s heart.
